Well, since I haven't posted anything for a day since we were working...
The view from the hotel is quite lovely.

The Opera House

Located on the island of Holmen in Copenhagen it was just completed the beginning of this year. It's an even more spectacular site all lit up at night.

Marble Church (Marmorkirken / Frederikskirke)

The dome was modeled after St. Peter's. What's funny to me is that the church is really only as wide as the dome!

St. Alban's Church (with lens flare...)

The Anglican (Episcopal) church in Copenhagen, erected in 1887 in British gothic style.

A fine example of Victorian church architecture.

The beautiful site of the church is due to its royal connections - the Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII, was married to a Danish princess.

OK, so I copied the text from http://www.woco.dk... :-)

The Little Mermaid.

Rosenborg Slot

Rosenborg Castle was built as a royal summer residence by King Christian IV in 1606-34. The King designed the Castle himself in Dutch Renaissance style and lived here until he died in 1648. The Castle was at that time outside the ramparts of Copenhagen with its own kitchen and flower gardens. In 1838 Rosenborg Castle was opened as a museum to the public and the royal crown jewel are kept in the castle cellars.

Alas, I've got no pictures of the crown jewels as cameras (and mobile phones) are forbidden inside! There's a few pictures here though...

The authentic reproduction of an old Danish ship (built with all the original techniques and whatnot) in the lake in Tivoli. There's a restaurant on board, but unfortunately it was closed when we were there.

Where in the world are E & E?

We've arrived and have made it into Copenhagen proper.

Sigh... The suitcase isn't big enough for me!

The International Pickup Truck. This thing makes the Hummer look like a Geo Metro, and that's alright by me!

The Shriners always have the best cars.

Babe's Chicken always runs their modified fire truck in the parades in Garland.
